Prestige Window Works is a Long Island window and door repair company with offices in Manhasset and Hauppauge. Most of what we do is repair: new glass and insulated glass units in your existing frames, wood frame and sash restoration, locks, cranks and balances, and door repair and adjustment.

How much does it usually cost to repair a window?
Most repairs cost between $300 and a few thousand dollars. Replacing a single pane or glass unit starts at $300; rebuilding a rotten wood window costs more, but usually about 20% of what a new replacement window would. You get a firm price at a free estimate before any work starts.
Is it cheaper to repair a window or replace it?
Usually repair. If the frame is sound, we replace foggy or broken glass, rebuild rotten wood and fix cranks, balances and locks for a fraction of replacement. If a window is past saving, we'll tell you.
Are blown windows covered by insurance?
Often, for sudden damage such as storms, accidents or break-ins, after your deductible. Wear such as fogged seals or rot usually isn't covered. Check with your insurer; we can give you a written estimate and photos for the claim.
How much does it cost to service a window?
