Wood Window Restoration
We took on a project that called for expert attention: the restoration of a wood window In Port Washington, NY that had seen better days. The owner’s request was straightforward – to bring their wood window back to its original glory.
Our team started by stripping away the old, flaking paint, which revealed the underlying issues. Each damaged section of wood was meticulously removed to make way for new material. We matched the new wood to the existing structure, ensuring consistency in both texture and color.
The replacement wood was treated and shaped to align with the window’s historic design. Our precise craftsmanship ensured that the window’s integrity remained intact, blending the new with the old. Once the damaged parts were fully replaced, we moved on to refinishing.
The window received a high-quality primer followed by durable exterior paint, chosen to complement the home’s existing color scheme and to offer long-term protection against the elements. The glass panes were then cleaned, restoring clarity and brilliance.
