Wood Window Restoration
A homeowner in Floral Park was dealing with aging wood windows that had developed cracks, peeling paint, and signs of rot. The worn windows allowed drafts to enter, making the interior less comfortable and driving up heating and cooling costs. To restore the beauty and functionality of these classic wood windows, they turned to Prestige Window Works for a professional wood window restoration in Floral Park.
The Prestige Window Works team began with a detailed inspection of each window, assessing the extent of the wood damage and identifying areas that needed repair or replacement. They carefully removed any deteriorated wood, scraping away peeling paint and sanding down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the restoration process.
Using high-quality wood fillers and repair materials, the team restored the damaged areas of the window frames, carefully matching the wood’s original grain and structure. This step was essential to not only enhance the appearance but also strengthen the windows and ensure long-lasting durability. This level of precision allowed the windows to retain their historical charm while gaining new resilience.
Next, Prestige Window Works applied a protective primer and durable exterior-grade paint to each window frame, ensuring the wood was thoroughly sealed and protected from moisture. This high-quality finish enhanced the windows’ resistance to future weathering and added a refreshed, polished look that complemented the home’s style in Floral Park.
After completing the restoration, the team conducted a final inspection to verify that the windows were properly sealed, draft-free, and fully functional. The homeowner was thrilled with the results, as the restored wood windows not only improved energy efficiency but also brought back the original beauty of their Floral Park home.
